I have found my 50s to be an exciting and creatively fulfilling time. As a longtime “chaser of light,” I look for beauty in places expected and unexpected. I am thrilled to share this collection of landscape, abstract, documentary, and portraiture photographs. Thank you to Rochester Brewing and Roasting Company, for allowing me to show my work, and to you, for viewing it.

A graduate of Webster University’s Media Communications program, I began my career in video production as a producer, gaffer, and editor. I was the Communications Manager for Famous-Barr and The Jones Store where I won a Telly award for Outstanding Corporate Video.

As my career leaned away from media production toward management, I remained an avid hobbyist in photography and filmmaking. I provided a variety of video and photography services to the Lee’s Summit School of Rock, the Music/Arts Institute, and the Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment Marching Band. In 2022, the Kansas City International Film Festival selected a documentary I produced and co-directed, “Hearts on Fire.” My photo of the KC Wheel was featured on the cover of Missouri Humanities magazine.

I currently have a studio residency at Cap Gun Studios in the West Bottoms. I shoot under the moniker This Mortal Coil Photography for model and content work.

My wife, Angie, and I live in Independence, Missouri, where we raised four children. We recently welcomed our second grandchild. I am currently the Director of the SS&C Learning Institute/BenefitsXML.
